Windows Live Mail 不能添加 yahoo 帐户收发邮件。连日来一直被这一问题困扰，今天找到了原因，结果虽然还是发送失败，但可以接收。文尾附发送失败的解释。以下为两个步骤。
一、开通 yahoo 的 POP 功能
在开通之前，请 事先登录你的 yahoo 帐号，然后在以下地址进入“免费邮件转发及 POP 收信”页面：http://edit.my.yahoo.com/config/set_popfwd?src=ym&.done=http://us.f93.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Options?YY=22797
在“注册”栏选择：“是” I want to use mail forwarding and POP access. Please contact me occasionally about special offers, promotions and Yahoo! features. To learn more about Yahoo!'s use of personal information, please read the Yahoo! 隐私权政策。
其他栏可不作考虑。之后进入下一步：“邮件发送状态”
选定“网上阅读邮件和 POP 功能”，提交完成。
二、接下来，在 Windows Live Mail 中添加电子邮件帐户
经过以上设置后，可接收邮件，但是不可发送邮件，官方的解释实在有些烦琐，我只求接收邮件即可。以下是官方的原文解释：

| The Yahoo! Mail SMTP server requires authentication. Here are the instructions on how to enable this feature in the specific email client you're using.
Some ISPs don't allow their users to send messages with other companies' SMTP outgoing mail servers. If you've set the "Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server" field in Yahoo! Mail to smtp.mail.yahoo.com and still experience difficulty, you may have to use your ISP server's address, rather than Yahoo!'s. Please contact your ISP for the SMTP server address to enter. |

| SMTP servers are used for sending outgoing email. Simple Mail Transfer Protocol is a protocol for sending email messages over the Internet. Some ISPs block port 25 and don't allow their users to send messages with other companies' SMTP servers.
If you've set the "Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server" field in Yahoo! Mail to smtp.mail.yahoo.com and find that you can receive but can't send messages, you may have to use your ISP server's address, rather than Yahoo!'s. Please contact your ISP for the SMTP server address to enter. You can also change port 25 to port 587 in your email client. Here's how to make this change in Outlook Express:
